Astra Zeneca PR&D Facility

Astra Zeneca is a global pharmaceutical company with a major presence in the UK. Located in Macclesfield, the Pharmaceutical Research Facility compromises of fume cupboard laboratories and supporting plantroom, office, welfare and meeting room facilities.

Astra Zeneca is a global pharmaceutical company with a major UK presence. The Macclesfield centre is their second largest manufacturing site where they manufacture, pack and distribute medicines.

As part of the Alliance Team, Hargreaves provided all of the ductwork services for the project. With over 70% of the internal fit being either prefabricated or built into modules, Hargreaves provided prefinished ductwork and KoolDuct as part of the finished installation. The project was recognised and won the 2010 HVAC News Project of the Year award.

The Pharmaceutical Research Facility compromises of fume cupboard laboratories and supporting plantroom, office, welfare and meeting room facilities. The Alderley Park site is the company’s largest R&D facility for a host of disciplines including chemistry, bioscience, pharmacology, genetics, clinical research and regulation.

Exyte Hargreaves provided the detailed design, supply and installation of all ventilation systems within the state of the art Laboratories including the specialist PVC fume cupboard extract systems.
