Helios

The Helios building 890 project is part of the DSTL Porton Down – Public Health England campus(MOD). The new build research facility comprises of laboratories, cleanrooms and general office spaces.



Exyte Hargreaves scope of works was the manufacture and installation of ventilation extract system for a new build facility (‘890’) located at DSTL's site in Porton Down.

The ventilation systems comprise of high integrity stainless steel fabricated ductwork for fume extract systems, Exyte Hargreaves’ fire rated ductwork and standard DW144 & 154 UPVC systems. Including security grilles. 

Further increase in scope was negotiated to supply and install full wet pipework systems (Heating, Chilled water, Domestic water, Natural Gas, S&V system & Rainwater) as well as supply and install of the insulation to both mechanical services packages.
