Embracing digital innovation and implementing the latest technology, our construction team on Conventional Island, Hinkley Point C with the support of our DI&S team have successfully digitalised all of our documentation and workflows utilising Dalux software.
A great step forward in our digital transformation journey, this has enabled the team to transition away from traditional ways of working to eliminating all paper resource. A significant achievement as we transform how we operate to become a more sustainable, safer and efficient business.
All of our documents from drawings to quality to safety documents including RAMS, life plans and check sheets for plant and equipment are now stored, managed and accessed digitally. By managing the project on our common data environment Dalux, we have a real time overview of all information and tasks giving us up to date, reflective insights, improving collaboration and transparency between us and the client.
It has also enabled us to optimise our processes and create seamless, more efficient workflows by removing the need to physically send documents between departments, saving time and minimising risk. Already, our team has begun to experience the direct benefits to our health & safety performance with a positive trend in increased safety observations and higher quality details being input into them.
The construction team on Hinkley Point C have been outstanding in their willingness to learn, perseverance in overcoming challenges and embracing new ways of working to make it possible. A huge well done to everyone that was involved in this success.
