New Head of Design Appointed

Exyte Hargreaves are pleased to announce the promotion of Shaun McGonigal in his new role as Head of Design, an expansion of his previous role as Pre-Construction Technical Lead where he was responsible for assisting in the bid and initial project delivery process.
In his new role, Shaun will co-ordinate and manage all of the Exyte Hargreaves design output from the front-end concept design support on complex MEP projects through to the detailed production from our MMC Off-Site Assembly (OSA) facility.
Shaun is an experienced design engineer and project manager with his area of expertise predominantly in the MEP field and in particular, complex HVAC applications and sustainable design. Throughout his career he has been responsible for the design and management of a wide range of projects from individual state of the art villas to complex cleanroom and mission critical facilities.
He is a chartered engineer with over 30 years’ experience within the built environment specialising in the healthcare, process, nuclear, pharmaceutical, semi-conductor and mission industries. Further to this, his experience has spanned across all areas of the construction industry including hospitality, industrial, retail, residential, education, leisure and energy.
Before joining Exyte Hargreaves, Shaun has developed his career not only in the UK but also worldwide, having recently returned from 5 years in the Middle East where he held the Head of MEP role for one of the largest global design consultancies. An experience which has been instrumental in affirming his client facing ethos and core team development.
