EHL gains ISO 45001 reapproval

Exyte Hargreaves has completed our Occupational Health & Safety audit and received recertification from LRQA for our ISO 45001:2018 management system.

Benefits of ISO 45001:2018

ISO 45001:2018 advocates a safe working environment and healthy employees. The management system and its implementation helps Exyte Hargreaves to mitigate Health & Safety risks and improve our performance as a business:

• ISO 45001:2018 aims to reduce work related incidents by encouraging active participation in health & safety matters amongst all employees. This helps to create a positive health & safety culture
• The ISO 45001:2018 management system embeds health and safety processes which helps us to understand where potential health and safety risks may arise. The associated benefits are increased health and safety for our people, reduced staff turnover and increased productivity
• ISO 45001:2018 is also a key element of most project bids and we are delighted to offer continued assurance and confidence to our stakeholders about working alongside Exyte Hargreaves

Our recertification demonstrates and facilitates continuous improvement to create a culture of best practice at Exyte Hargreaves. 

The results are in!

The audit summary complemented our leadership commitment to health & safety. Improvements implemented since the last audit were also noted, including our project management software investment and continuing integration of our quality, health & safety and environmental management systems. The report also mentions how impressed the auditor was with the knowledge and mindset of everyone who participated.

Our commitment to digitisation and innovation was also remarked upon, to include ongoing training for staff via our e-learning platform. Similarly, our eObservation system, which allows the recording of health & safety observations via a scanned QR code on a mobile device. Exyte Hargreaves also performed well against our management system objectives for 2022. Incident figures are continually monitored and reported with no RIDDORs for 2022 with a target of 0 being achieved.
